Rainbow talk

We have been practising singing through singing familiar nursery rhymes. 

We also used our Rainbow fan to talk about the chair from the story of Three bears and Goldilocks.

This week we are learning a new concept-adjectives. We have been using big, medium, little to help us retell the story of Goldilcks and today we are sorting bears according to size. Encourage your child to use the same language at home as well.

Rainbow Talk Feel and Think

Today in Rainbow talk we used the fan to talk about what Goldilocks and the Three Bears were ‘Feeling’ and ‘Thinking’.

Daddy Bear was angry. 

Mummy bear was cross.

Baby bear was angry.

Can your child retell you the story of Goldilocks and the three bears?

This week we are using Autumn resources to learn about shapes.

Rectangles

This week the jewels have been learning about ‘Rectangles’.

Every week the jewels learn a new shape. We learned the shape name, how many sides the shape has and how many vertices. 

Can you sing the rectangle song with your child “A rectangle has four sides. A rectangle has four sides two are short and two are long a rectangle has four sides”.

“A rectangles like a door. A rectangles like a door. Two are long and two are short a rectangle has four sides”.

We then worked together to find different rectangles in Foundation.
